Question

Hi! I am wondering what is a good age to start potty training? My son is 1,5 year. Is it too early to begin?

  1. I know it’s better to begin at summertime after your baby is at least 1,5 year old.

  2. I tried to teach my son when he was 7 month old, but he didn’t like it 😀 Now he is 1 year old, I tried again and he already used the potty a few times. I am trying to teach him, but really slowly, without any pressure.

  3. I started training my daughter quite early, when she was 9 months old. I wouldn’t call it training though, I only introduced the potty to her. She uses it sometimes, but obviously not voluntarily yet.

  4. I started training my daughter to use a potty when she learned how to sit without any support. It took us a while though, after 1.9 year old she fully switched to using the potty.

  5. I showed the potty to my daughter when she was 10 months old and she seemed very curious first, but then refused to use it. I didn’t move it from the room, so she could see it all the time and she knew what it was for. Then one day she just asked me to use it and after that we successfully switched!

  6. Thanks to everyone for your opinions and experiences! 😀
